The journal International Shipbuilding Progress (ISP) was founded in 1954. Each year two issues appear (in March and September). Publications submitted to ISP should describe scientific work of high international standards, advancing subjects related to the field of Marine Technology, such as:

Stresses and deflections in flat rectangular plates under dynamic lateral loads based on linear theory

Abstract: Approximate formulas are given for the determination of natural frequencies and maximum deflections and stresses in rectangular plates subjected to normal transient loading as well as to static loading. The stresses and deflections resulting from dynamic loads are obtained by the application of a “load factor” to the values computed for a static load. Scale effect experiments on victory ships and models

Abstract: This paper deals with the resistance- and thrust-measurements on a series of nine geometricall similar Victory ship models, ranging in scale from 160 to 18, and on a Victory model boat of scale 6. The first part of the paper gives a description of the ship, the propeller, the models, the test apparatus, the test performance, the instrument calibration and the necessary corrections.
