The journal International Shipbuilding Progress (ISP) was founded in 1954. Each year two issues appear (in March and September). Publications submitted to ISP should describe scientific work of high international standards, advancing subjects related to the field of Marine Technology, such as:
- Concept development
- General design of ships and offshore objects
- Ship and offshore structural design
- Hydro-mechanics and -dynamics
- Maritime engineering and machinery systems
- Production processes of all types of ships and other objects intended for marine use
- Production technology and material science
- Shipping science, economics, and all directly related subjects
- Ship operations
- Offshore and ocean engineering in relation to the marine environment
- Marine safety
- Efficiency, lifecycle, and environment
- Ice-related aspects for ships and offshore objects.
The contents of the papers may be of a fundamental or of an applied scientific nature and must be of the highest novelty and rigor.

Abstract: A dynamic stability analysis for a hydrofoil sailing boat has been carried out on the boat with two surface-piercing dihedral front foils and an inverted ‘T’ rear foil. The small-disturbance theory was applied to the analysis with accounting for the interaction between the longitudinal and lateral motions. Stability derivatives were calculated for the hydrofoils and the sail. As a result of the analysis, it was clarified that there was a critical sailing state for the maximum attainable boat velocity which was lower than that of the conventional predictions for the hydrofoil sailing boat. When the velocity exceeded the maximum velocity …determined as the critical sailing state, the boat fell into static instability or divergence. Show more

Abstract: Results of the experimental investigation of the effects of finite water depth on the hydrodynamic forces and moments acting on ship model moving in the horizontal plane are presented. The structure of the mathematical model used is verified after the multiple linear regression and dispersion analysis methods. Comparison between the full scale and predicted ship manoeuvrability characteristics are made. This work is carried out at BSHC, Varna, Bulgaria with the help of PMM.
