Introduction to the ENDE 2023 special issue
On behalf of the ENDE 2023 Organizing Committee, we are proud to publish selected contributions presented at the 26th International Workshop on Electromagnetic Nondestructive Evaluation (ENDE 2023) that was held in June 2023 at Thessaloniki, Greece.
The aim of the ENDE Workshop, which has been organized since 1995, is to bring together scientists who are active in research, development and industrial applications of electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation in order to provide them the opportunity to cooperate, to acquire new knowledge, to discuss state of the art technologies and the latest developments in the field.
Following the successful tradition of previous organizations we did our best for a very warm hospitality and a very fruitful Workshop and offered the opportunity to specialists to meet, to exchange ideas, to present new knowledge and to make strong friendships.
For ENDE 2023, 43 contributions were submitted to the editorial board, of which 40 were accepted for presentation and inclusion in the program, authors originating from 15 countries. For this special issue of the International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, the editorial committee accepted 19 extended papers for publication.
Many people contributed to the success of ENDE 2023. We would especially like to thank members of the local organizing committee, our main sponsor Technology & Quality Control Center, our organizing agent Symvoli and the ISEM International Steering Committee, chaired by Christophe Reboud.
We would like also to thank Antonello Tamburrino, Editor-in-Chief of IJAEM, and Gabriela Ricci, IOS Press Associate Publisher, for their valuable assistance and rapid response to our many questions, leading thus to the smooth arrangement of this special issue.
