Abstract: The time-delayed Chua's circuit (TDCC) is an infinite-dimensional electromagnetic system with boundary nonlinearity. An analytic nonlinear model is established for the TDCC. Through simulation, it has been revealed that complex spatiotemporal behaviors characterized by irregular space-time patterns may happen in the TDCC. These complex spatiotemporal behaviors result from the boundary nonlinearity and the space-time coupling. Moreover, it has been found that the initial values during one round-trip delay play an important role in the evolvements of spatiotemporal behaviors at the different locations of the transmission line.
