Abstract: In this paper, we present a model dedicated to the resolution of the inverse problem concerning the design and the dimensioning of an inductor which generates a desired magnetic field. The algorithms of optimization are combined with a semi analytical model which is based on the coupled circuit's theory. The latter makes it possible to predict the distribution of the currents density in the turns of the inductor and then to determine its electrical resistance and inductance. Therefore, it lends itself well to the optimization of the inductor parameters. A comparative study between the use of a deterministic algorithm and another stochastic type of Simulated Annealing will be presented. The results obtained show that this approach is effective, precise and especially very fast for the optimization of the inductor parameters.
