Abstract: Theoretic means using space harmonic method for Linear Induction Motor(LIM) analysis are suggested. The various reluctances usually approximated by adopting the current sheet are investigated thoroughly. Moreover, end-effect, the distinctive feature of LIM, is explained clearly by the proposed method.
