Design of a supermarket chain

Abstract: This paper describes the application of parts of the Organizational Audit and Analysis Technology for organizational design to a regional supermarket chain organization. Following brief presentation of some background about the retail food business and some organizational features of the chain, the application is described. The described application includes a strategic assessment stage, an organizational audit, the organizational design, implementation planning, and strategic planning.
