Abstract: The Pixel-Based Adaptive Segmenter with Confidence Measurement (PBASCM) is proposed for vehicle detection in complex urban traffic scenes to efficiently address deficiencies of the background subtraction model, which is easily contaminated by slow-moving or temporarily stopped vehicles. The background is modeled based on the history of recently observed pixel values and each pixel in the background model is assigned a confidence measurement based on the current traffic state. The foreground decision depends on an adaptive threshold, whereas the background model is updated based on the current traffic state and whether the corresponding pixel point is in the confidence period. Using …real-world urban traffic videos, the overall results of detection accuracy analyses demonstrated that PBASCM achieved better performance in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations, compared with other state-of-the-art methods. PBASCM can accurately detect slow-moving or temporarily stopped vehicles, and the similarity and F-measure results for PBASCM were 0.839 and 0.912 higher, respectively, than those obtained by other methods in a traffic light sequence during the daytime. Thus, our experimental results demonstrate that PBASCM is effective and suitable for real-time vehicle detection in complex urban traffic scenes. Show more

Abstract: As an extension of the classical Pawlak rough sets, covering multigranulation trapezoidal fuzzy decision-theoretic rough set models have been researched, in which objects approximated are crisp sets or accurate concepts of the universe of discourse, and there are only two states, which are disjoint and opposite each other for an accurate concept of the universe of discourse for a decision-making problem. However, the objects of many decision-making problems can have more than two states in practice. Moreover, the states of the decision object are not necessarily disjoint and opposite each other, but these decision states are fuzzy descriptions of the …states of the object on the universe. In order to deal with decision-making problems in which decision states are fuzzy sets, covering multigranulation trapezoidal fuzzy decision-theoretic rough fuzzy set models are proposed in this paper. In addition, the mean, optimistic and pessimistic covering multigranulation trapezoidal fuzzy decision-theoretic rough fuzzy sets are investigated and characterized. Furthermore, the relationships between covering multigranulation trapezoidal fuzzy decision-theoretic rough fuzzy set models and the existing models are discussed. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the practicality and generality of the proposed models. Show more

Abstract: This paper aims to propose a new approach to complete the consensus reaching process for multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) where the experts’ preferences can be expressed by hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets (HFLTSs). The possibility distribution based approach is used to deal with HFLTSs since it is a natural way to express the possible information contained in an HFLTS. Two kinds of consensus measures are defined: one is based on distances to the collective preference and the other is based on distances between experts. This paper focuses on the first consensus measure and correspondingly, an interactive consensus reaching …model is developed. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the computational steps of the proposed model. The example indicates that only two rounds of interactions are needed in the given case. By comparison with the existing model which was based on the second consensus measure, it is found that the first consensus measure is less restrictive than the second one. In general, the existing model has to conduct more rounds than the proposed one if the same consensus threshold is specified. The two models also differ in the identification rules. Show more

Abstract: With the advent of the era of low-carbon economy, China enterprises urgently need for innovation in enterprises management if they want to occupy a place in the fierce market competition environment in the era of low-carbon economy, which puts forward the new requirements for energy conservation and emissions reduction to enterprises. To enterprises, promoting the management innovation under low carbon economy circumstances has the very vital significance, which can enhance the management ability and management level, and always possess a leading position in the market competition. In this paper, inspired by the method of traditional I-CG operator, we have proposed …the induced hesitant fuzzy uncertain linguistic correlated geometric (IHFULCG) operator. Next, we exploited the IHFULCG operator to design some approaches to tackle the hesitant fuzzy uncertain linguistic multiple attribute decision making issues for evaluating the enterprise management innovation ability under low carbon economy circumstances. In the end, an example to estimate the enterprise management innovation ability under low carbon economy circumstances is given. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, the construction of similarity measures for Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets (AIFSs) is considered from the view of evidence theory. We define similarity measures for AIFSs in the framework of Dempster–Shafer evidence theory. The proposed similarity measures are applied to deal with pattern recognition and multiple criteria decision making problems. First, existing similarity measures for AIFSs are critically reviewed. Then we introduce the transformation from AIFSs to basic probability assignments (BPAs) in evidence theory. Based on Jousselme’s distance measure and cosine similarity measure between BPAs, two similarity measures between AIFSs are proposed. A composite similarity measure is constructed …following the proof of properties related to our proposed similarity measures. Then, we use some contrastive examples to illustrate that the proposed similarity measure between AIFSs can overcome the drawbacks of existing similarity measures. Finally, we apply the proposed similarity measures between AIFSs to deal with pattern recognition and multiple criteria decision making problems. It is demonstrated that our proposed similarity measures can provide compatible results compared to those results obtained based on previous measures. Show more

Abstract: With the launch of new countryside construction plan, China has in the transition period of changing traditional rural landscape to the modern rural landscape. Destructive construction which leads to regional characteristics of urban construction in the loss, deterioration of ecological environment has radiated to the new countryside construction. Currently the research on the rural landscape design at an early stage, not on the new countryside construction in the formation of countryside landscape design specific guidance. Rebuilding the new countryside of regional features, protection and transmission of traditional culture and build harmony between man and nature imminent new socialist countryside, its …theoretical research and practical guidance is of great significance. Vernacular landscapes as a regional history and culture carriers, the composition of the Vernacular landscape and its significance of mining, will help us protect the countrysides’ traditional culture, reshaping rural regional characteristics, the countryside landscape design will display a new vitality. In this paper, we study on the multiple attribute decision making problems with fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy information. Firstly, we analyze several operations on the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Afterwards, we design the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy Hamacher correlated average (FNIFHCA) operator. Then, we apply the FNIFHCA operator to solve multiple attribute decision making under the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy environments. In the end, an example to estimate the rural landscape design schemes is proposed to test the effectiveness of the proposed method. Show more

Abstract: Many mathematical conceptions, such as group, closure (interior) operator, and approximation operator in rough set, can be characterized by one axiom, respectively. Focusing on four kinds of widely used lattice-valued closure (interior) operators, which are natural extensions of closure (interior) operators, we use one axiom to characterize each of them. Then by using these characterizations, we prove that two pairs of L -fuzzy covering-based upper (lower) approximation operators are some lattice-valued closure (interior) operators.

Abstract: The occurrence of imprecision in the real world is inevitable due to some unexpected situations. The imprecision is often involved in any engineering design process. The imprecision and uncertainty are often interpreted as fuzziness. Fuzzy systems have an essential role in the uncertainty modeling, which can formulate the uncertainty in the actual environment. In this paper, a new method based on linear algebra for resolution of a fuzzy complex system of linear equations is presented. Moreover, a new algorithm is designed to find all the solutions of the system based on the eigenvalue method. Thanks to our approach, we can …find all the solutions of the system at a time. Also, we are able to determine when the solution sets of the system are nonempty sets.To illustrate the easy application of the proposed method, numerical examples are given and the obtained results are discussed. Abstract: In this paper, the concept of extensional L -fuzzy Q-convergence structures is proposed. It is shown that there is an adjunction between the category of extensional L -fuzzy topological spaces and the category of extensional L -fuzzy topological spaces. In particular, the category of extensional L -fuzzy topological spaces can be embedded in the category of extensional L -fuzzy Q-convergence spaces as a reflective subcategory. Also, the notion of topological extensional L -fuzzy Q-convergence spaces is introduced and the resulting category is shown to be isomorphic to the category of extensional L -fuzzy topological spaces.

Abstract: Accurate short-term load forecasting plays a crucial role in electricity industry and market. In this study, a novel forecasting method based on Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Firefly Algorithm (FA) has been created to realize accurate and reliable load prediction. The performance of SVM highly depends on the selection of parameters, and Gaussian disturbance Firefly Algorithm (GDFA) proposed in this study can satisfy the necessary. Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) is employed to decompose the load data into sub-series with different frequency. This paper extracts daily maximum temperature, daily minimum temperature, wind speed, rainfall, day type, and the load one …week before the forecasting day as input variables. Two cases are taken to verify the effective performance of GDFA compared with FA, as well as the superiority of EEMD-GDFA-SVM over other forecasting techniques in short-term load forecasting.
