Abstract: In this paper, we develop a new triangular fuzzy series combination forecasting method based on triangular fuzzy discrete difference equation forecasting model and PSO-SVR, and use the developed forecasting method to power load forecasting. First, we propose a triangular fuzzy discrete difference equation (TFDDE) forecasting model to predict the triangular fuzzy series, which can accurately predict the fluctuating trend and is suitable for small sample data. Then, the support vector regression optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO-SVR) is adopted to further improve the forecast result of TFDDE forecasting model, in which the parameters of support vector regression are optimally obtained …by particle swarm optimization algorithm so as to avoid the blindness of artificial selection. Finally, the practical example of load forecasting of US PJM power market is employed to illustrate the proposed forecasting method. The experimental results show that the proposed forecasting method produces much better forecasting performance than some existing triangular fuzzy series models. The proposed combination forecasting method, which fully capitalizes on the time series forecasting model and intelligent algorithm, makes the triangular fuzzy series prediction more accurate than before and has good applicability. Abstract: We consider the space of continuous functions defined between a locally compact Hausdorff space and the space of fuzzy numbers endowed with the level convergence topology. We obtain a Stone-Weierstrass type theorem for such space of functions equipped with the compact open topology. As a corollary of the above results, we prove that such functions can be approximated by certain fuzzy-number-valued neural networks and sums of fuzzy-number-valued ridge functions.

Abstract: Aggregation operators are indispensable to aggregate individual preference relations to a collective one in group decison making. Although some aggregation operators have been proposed in intuitionistic multiplicative environment, which can reflect our intuition more objectively, in this paper, it is pointed by an example that the existing aggregation operators generally can not aggregate individual intuitionistic multiplicative preference relations (IMPRs) into a collective one which limits the study of consensus of IMPRs in group decision making problems. Then, some new symmetric operations and symmetric intuitionistic multiplicative aggregation operator are proposed to overcome the above issue. Abstract: In this paper, it is introduced the notion of r -fuzzy ideal separation axioms T i , i = 0, 1, 2 based on a fuzzy ideal I on a fuzzy topological space (X , τ ). An r -fuzzy ideal connectedness related to the fuzzy ideal I is introduced which has relations with a previous r -fuzzy connectedness. Abstract: The performance of interval neutrosophic sets (INSs) aggregated by resent operator is sensitive to special value (e.g. zero value). This paper proposes a novel algorithm for aggregating INSs and applies it to multiple attribute group decision-making. First, INSs are projected as point sets of a 2D space, thus the interval numbers of INSs and the 2D space points correspond one-to-one. Second, the plant growth simulation algorithm is employed to aggregate each point set and calculate the optimal rally points of each point set, therefore, the collective matrix is established by the optimal rally point set. Abstract: Nowadays, the exponentially increasing amount of digital images available imposes a great challenge to a content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system due to the requirement of extensive-computing. Considering this challenge, this paper presents an approach to achieve effectiveness and scalability of a CBIR system in a large-scale dataset. To do that, we propose a cache mechanism to spare the distance computation efforts of a retrieval task in the CBIR system. Additionally, a MapReduce technique is presented to exploit the cached data in a parallel facility, thereby not only improving the performance of a CBIR system but also ensuring scalability for the …system. Additionally, a collaborative caching service has been introduced for enhancing the data availability, thus decreasing the network traffic load due to fetching data remotely in the distributed environment. Moreover, by clustering the dataset before a search, this system can be efficient at responding to a user query since only a portion of the dataset is actually operated at a time. Through experiments, our approach obtains significant efficiency gains compared to other methods in terms of response time and achieves an acceptable accuracy ratio, which is applicable in the practical environment. In this paper, we focus on the relationship between rough sets and skew lattices, a non-commutative generalization of lattices. Abstract: The present work is focused on dynamic intuitionistic fuzzy multi-attribute decision making (DIF-MADM) problem, while "dynamic" means the decision-related information may be collected at different periods, a situation commonly happened in many of real world MADM problems. After the review and analysis of some drawbacks on the existing DIF-MADM methods, on the one hand, we propose a new DIF-MADM method based on the evidential reasoning (ER) algorithm in order to address some of those limits; on the other hand, and a new dynamic intuitionistic fuzzy weighted geometric (DIFWG) operator is introduced, named modified dynamic intuitionistic fuzzy weighted geometric (MDIFWG) operator, …then a MDIFWG-based DIF-MADM method is also proposed to address some other limits of the existing methods. Abstract: To exploit the temporal and spatial redundancy and to expedite the process of video encoding it is required to find the motion Vector (MV) by a process called Motion Estimation (ME). In this paper, optimal motion estimation algorithms based on correlation that exists between consecutive macro blocks in a frame of a video with stopping criteria are proposed. The different neighborhood macro blocks (MB) form the Locality of Reference (LOR) of the candidate macro blocks in the reference frame and these LOR defines the types of algorithms which are named as Correlation Based Rood Pattern Search (CBRPS) in four variations …which effectively reduce the search time, computational complexity without compromising the PSNR values i.e. quality of the compensated image. The results obtained are compared with the results with relevant existing techniques to highlight the superior performance of the proposed algorithms. All the proposed algorithms outperform the existing techniques both in terms of computational complexity and PSNR values. Amongst the four proposed algorithms the fourth type of CBRPS i.e. CBRPS_T4 is found to be the best for linear and transverse motion of objects in the videos in terms of computational complexity. Abstract: Liquefaction is an important damage potential event after earthquakes. Therefore, liquefaction potential of soil should be estimated correctly to decrease these damages. It has been developed a lot of methods for liquefaction estimation based on semi-empirical simplified procedure. In this study, fuzzy logic soil liquefaction potential determination method was first described and then compared with both field observations and other semi-empirical simplified soil liquefaction determination methods. 250 site observations given in the literature were used in both methods. Soil liquefaction potential was predicted successfully using this both methods for the 220 cases out of 250. It was made comparison using …these methods for remaining 30 cases. The fuzzy soil liquefaction assessment with certain probabilities provided the authors involved in the design and construction stages to make a flexible decision. Then fuzzy logic liquefaction determination method is applied on the Sirt bridge case in Afyonkarahisar /Turkey.
