Abstract: An intuitionistic fuzzy graph is an extended structure of a fuzzy graph that give more precision, flexibility and compatibility to a system when compared with the system that designed using fuzzy graphs. In this paper, we define two new operations on intuitionistic fuzzy graphs namely normal product and tensor product. Also, we calculated the degree of the intuitionistic fuzzy graphs obtained by the operations Cartesian product, tensor product, normal product and composition of intuitionistic fuzzy graphs. These operations are highly used in computer science, geometry, algebra, operations research, etc.

Abstract: An interval-valued intuitionistic linguistic set (IVILS) is introduced as an extension of both a linguistic term set and an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set. However, the arithmetic operations and comparison methods of IVILS exist some limitations, which may result in information loss and distortion. To avoid this problem, the arithmetic operations are improved and a new comparison method based on a possibility degree is developed. Then, several arithmetic aggregation operators are proposed to aggregate interval-valued intuitionistic linguistic numbers. Moreover, a multi-criteria group decision-making (MCDM) approach based on the new aggregation operators is presented. Finally, the validity and effectiveness of the proposed …method are confirmed by a comparable example. Show more

Abstract: Butterfly Optimization Algorithm (BOA) is a new comer in the category of nature inspired metaheuristic algorithms, inspired from food foraging behavior of the butterflies. Similar to other metaheuristic algorithms, it encounters two probable problems; (1) entrapment in local optima and (2) slow convergence speed. Chaotic maps are one of the best methods to improve the performance of metaheuristic algorithms. In the present study, chaos is introduced into BOA which increases its performance in terms of both local optima avoidance and convergence speed. Ten chaotic maps are employed to enhance the performance of the BOA. The proposed chaotic BOAs are validated …on unimodal and multimodal benchmark test functions as well as on engineering design problems. The results indicate that the chaotic maps are able to significantly boost the performance of BOA. Show more

Abstract: The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the new concepts “j -near concepts” in rough set context to be used as mathematical tools, approximating the rough sets and removing the vagueness (uncertainty) of rough sets. The basic notions of j -near approximations are sufficiently illustrated. Comparisons among the accuracy of these types of approximations are superimposed. We further investigate some practical examples to illustrate the importance of the suggested structures. Finally, several examples are given to indicate counter connections.

Abstract: In this paper, we study fuzzy topological polygroups and prove some results in this respect. Denote by FC (Y , Z ) the set of all fuzzy continuous functions from a fuzzy topological space Y into a fuzzy topological space Z . Our aim in this paper is to study a polygroup, fuzzy polygroup, topological polygroup and fuzzy topological polygroup structure on the (fuzzy) function space FC (Y , Z ). Also, we study induced fuzzy topological polygroups. It is shown that if ( P , T ) is a usual topological polygroup, then the induced fuzzy …topology ω ( T ) on I P makes ( P , ω ( T ) ) a fuzzy topologiccal polygroup. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, following a very recent and new approach of [1 ], we discuss a relation between two kinds ofI - convergence of sequences, namely, I -statistical convergence of weight g and I -lacunary statistical convergence of weight g , where g : ℕ → [ 0 , ∞ ) is a function satisfying lim n → ∞ g ( n ) = ∞ and n g ( n ) ↛ 0 as n → ∞ for fuzzy numbers. These methods are …based on the methods of statistical convergence and lacunary statistical summability for sequences. Analogs of inclusion and consistency theorems for the sequential methods are established. Show more

Abstract: The development problem of small town is a present important issue in our country, concerning the urbanization process, agriculture and rural economy development and sustainable development of national economy directly. It is imperative to accelerate the construction of ecological environment in the small town under the national conditions of the increasing excessively of population, the serious shortage of resources, the environmental pollution, the ecology degradation and the great background of constructing the well-off society and the harmonious society comprehensively. Since the reform and opening-up, the construction of small town makes the enormous achievements, but the ecological environment problem in the …urbanization process is serious day by day, and have already become the limiting factor of social progress. So the coordinated development of the economy, society and environment road is the necessary trend of small town development in the future. In this paper, we give some operations on the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets and further develop the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Hamacher power weighted average (IVIFHPWA) operator. We also establish some desirable properties of this operator, such as idempotency, Boundedness and monotonicity. Then, we apply the IVIFHPWA operator to deal with multiple attribute decision making with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information. Finally, a practical example for evaluating the performance of urban ecological environment construction is used to illustrate the developed procedures. Show more

Abstract: As a convenient and effective aggregation method, the weighted aggregation operators have been applied in some fields of real decision-makings, and many extended forms have been presented and investigated. For this reason, the intuitionistic fuzzy weighted aggregation operators, such as the intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging/geometric operators and the intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging/geometric operators, are proposed and developed. However, one dilemma is that the selection principle of the different aggregation operators is indistinct and arbitrary in real decision making. Consequently, in this paper, we propose four extreme intuitionistic fuzzy weighted aggregation operators, namely, the intuitionistic fuzzy maximum weighted averaging (IFWmax …A), the intuitionistic fuzzy minimum weighted averaging (IFWmin A), the intuitionistic fuzzy maximum weighted geometric (IFWmax G), and the intuitionistic fuzzy minimum weighted geometric (IFWmin G), and then study their relationships and point out their selection principles. Furthermore, the optimism and pessimism decision-making approaches are constructed and analyzed based on these new operators. Finally, an investment decision making case is provided to demonstrate the constructed optimism and pessimism decision-making processes and the proposed extreme intuitionistic fuzzy weighted aggregation operators under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Abstract: The effect and quality of education is the fundamental of higher education, and instructional reform is the core one of all reforms in higher education. In order to motivate the instructional reform and enhance the quality of education, the department of education in China has evaluated and rewarded the study performance in instructional practice of educators in higher learning instructions since 1989. This means has pushed enormously the process of the instructional reform in higher learning institutions and enhanced the effect and quality of higher education. However, evaluating and rewarding the excellent study performance of educators in higher learning institutions …still depends on the qualitative evaluation by the expert’s intelligence and experience. In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems for evaluating the psycholinguistic teaching effect with triangular fuzzy information. Motivated by the idea of geometric Bonferroni mean and Einstein operations, we develop the triangular fuzzy Einstein geometric Bonferroni mean (TFEGBM) operator and triangular fuzzy weighted Einstein geometric Bonferroni mean (TFWEGBM) operator for aggregating the triangular fuzzy information. Then, based on the TFWEGBM operator, we develop the procedure for multiple attribute decision making with the triangular fuzzy information. Finally, a practical example for evaluating the psycholinguistic teaching effect is given to verify the developed approach. Show more

Abstract: The problem of state feedback control for a class of continuous-time switched nonlinear systems is investigated in this paper. By using the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model to represent each subsystem of the switched nonlinear systems, the switched nonlinear systems are modeled into the switched T-S fuzzy systems. Different from existing studies in the literature, by proposing a novel performance index which can be viewed as extended dissipativity, the weighted H ∞ , L 2 - L ∞ , passive and dissipative control problems for continuous-time switched nonlinear systems are studied in a unified framework. Some weighted matrices are included in the …new performance index. Through adjusting the values of these weighted matrices, the new performance index will reduce to the weighted H ∞ , L 2 - L ∞ , passive and dissipative performance index for the switched systems. By using the multiple Lyapunov functions (MLFs) approach and the average dwell time (ADT) technique, the state feedback controllers are designed to ensure the closed-loop switched T-S fuzzy system to be asymptotically stable and satisfy the novel performance index. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the applicability of the obtained results. Show more
