Abstract: In this paper, we employ a cooperative game to study coalition performance of a parallel service system with nonexponential service times, which is comprised of n independent parallel M/Ek /1 queues, where the service times of the coalitions are designed as a closed-form framework. For such a queueing cooperative game, we use the Erlang service time distributions to make analysis of various coalitions more feasible, and specifically, it is easy to set up a characteristic function for the coalitions under an Erlang closed-form framework. Once the characteristic function is given in the queueing cooperative game, we compute the …Shapley value, the Owen value and the core whose aim is to suitably provide the cost allocation for the coalitions. Furthermore, we use numerical examples to give useful observation on the cost allocations for the coalitions through the Shapley value, the Owen value and the core. Show more

Abstract: In the intricate decision-making problems, the preference information of decision makers may be difficultly stated by numerical values due to the ambiguity of human thinking about the complex objective things in the real world, and sometimes, it may be easily expressed by LTs (linguistic terms). Thus, how to solve fuzzy MAGDM (multiple attribute group decision-making) problem in which the attributes are described by neutrosophic linguistic information and weights for the attributes and decision makers are fully unknown, has become an important research direction. To achieve this goal, this paper briefly reviews the basic concept of LTs, SVLNN (single-valued linguistic neutrosophic …number), and the closeness degree, then we put forward the closeness degree between the LNNs (linguistic neutrosophic numbers) and the distance formula between LNNs, and they can be used to determine the weights of experts and attributes. Then, a MAGDM method based on the extended VIKOR (Visekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kom-promisno Resenje) method is established under the single-valued linguistic neutrosophic numbers (SVLNN) environment. Further, an illustrative example about selecting problems of fault handling point is presented to demonstrate the application of the developed approach, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are proved by comparing this method with WAA (Weighted Arithmetic Averaging) and TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) method. Abstract: Linear programming is being widely applied in various fields e.g., management sciences, operations research, economics and engineering. In real-world settings, the input data of linear programming models entail many uncertainties. Overlooking these uncertainties may lead to erroneous decision making. In the problems surrounding uncertainty and incomplete/partially known data, Grey System Theory (GST) is a suitable approach for data analysis. Accordingly, the current study is an attempt to propose a new method for solving grey linear programming problems. The grey linear programing methods proposed to date suffer from numerous drawbacks such as weakness of solving linear programming with grey numbers in …constraints, inappropriate results with the lower bound is greater than upper bound, out-of feasible-region solutions and so on. To counter these drawbacks, the current study proposes a novel method of linear programming with grey parameters. Later, its solutions are compared with that of other alternative methods. Comparative analyses of the methods revealed the superiority of the proposed method over other methods in terms of quality of optimal solution and computational steps. As opposed to the other existing methods that usually comprise several stages, the proposed method has only three stages for solving grey linear programming problems and is therefore simple to work with. Abstract: Traffic sign detection and recognition has been a topic of research for at least the last two decades. Efforts are being made to reliably detect candidate traffic signs in natural uncontrolled environment and to recognize their contents. For detection, a large proportion of relevant literature discusses color based segmentation by either sticking to a predefined color space (e.g., RGB, HSI, YCbCr etc.) or make use of empirically selected subset of eigen space to achieve partially data dependent segmentation. Since, the input RGB data for various color classes and the background is not linearly separable, none of the existing methods guarantee …to achieve complete separation among pixels corresponding to traffic signs and the background objects. To tackle this problem, we propose a completely data driven segmentation technique that adaptively selects an optimized color space based on available training data. To recognize the contents of potential traffic signs, we present a hybrid spatio-frequency radial feature extraction technique with an emphasis on the regions containing useful information. We explore the energy compaction property of steerable discrete cosine transform for feature extraction and augment it with well known circular histogram of oriented gradients in a pyramid. Using our proposed method, experiments on (1) German Traffic Sign Detection Benchmark, (2) our self collected dataset and on a (3) hand crafted version of the combination of the two provide competitive performance compared to various latest and state of the art methods by achieving up to 0.978 precision and 0.98 recall values at an expense of only an insignificant additional computational cost. The method also obtained 0.81 precision on traffic signs partially occluded by other objects. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new correlation coefficient between intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We then use this new result to compute some examples through which we find that it benefits from such an outcome with some well-known results in the literature. As in statistics with real variables, we refer to variance and covariance between two intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Then, we determined the formula for calculating the correlation coefficient based on the variance and covariance of the intuitionistic fuzzy set, the value of this correlation coefficient is in [–1,1]. Then, we develop this direction to build correlation coefficients between the interval-valued …intuitionistic fuzzy sets and apply it in the pattern recognition problem. Finally, we apply this correlation coefficient in clustering problem with intuitionistic fuzzy information. Show more

Abstract: Case retrieval is a major step in case-based reasoning (CBR), which seeks the most similar historical case to correspond to the target case. However, the first step of similarity measurement is to determine the weights of attributes, which would affect the accuracy of the similarity calculation results. In this study, we propose a new method, called DEA-CBR that integrates the double frontiers data envelopment analysis (DEA) to determine the most similar historical case based on the similarity efficiency of each historical case. This proposed method is different from the traditional distance-based similarity measurement methods in that attribute weights are determined …by DEA models without the need to be specified. The proposed DEA-CBR approach first defines attribute distances between each historical case and target case to calculate attribute similarity for each attribute. The maximum and the minimum similarity efficiencies of each historical case are then measured with DEA models and are geometrically averaged to measure the overall similarity efficiency of each historical case, based on which the most similar historical case can be determined. Two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the potential applications and benefits of the proposed DEA-CBR method. Show more

Abstract: Stability plays a major role in differential equation which means sensitivity of the state of a system to small changes in the initial state. Thus, it is critically important to make stability analysis for fuzzy differential equation. This paper mainly proposed a concept of stability in credibility for fuzzy differential equation driven by Liu process. Based on this concept, some theorems for fuzzy differential equation driven by Liu process being stability in credibility were proved. Furthermore, we extended the theorems to the case of n-dimensional fuzzy differential equation driven by Liu process.

Abstract: Some factors such as expert information, behavior and time influence the decision-making results in dynamic group decision-making. In view of this, from the angle of group negotiation and system coordination, we exploit the Orness measure constraints and Nash bargaining model to establish a novel dynamic group grey target decision method. In this paper, we firstly define concepts of multi-index group measure matrix, stage bull’s-eye matrix and whole bull’s-eye matrix, which consists of the schemes, the objective, the experts, and the time. Then, based on the maximization of decision group satisfaction and the minimization of system coordination deviation, the asymmetric Nash …bargaining model is used to construct a two-step optimization model. Last, the suggested optimization model is used to solve stage bull’s eye matrix. What’s more, we utilize the Orness measure constraints to establish a phase weight nonlinear programming model, and then use it to solve the weight of the stage and determine the entire bull’s-eye matrix. And we utilize the norm to measure the norm distance between group measure matrix and the stage and whole bull’s-eye matrix of the schemes, so that we can give the stage and whole schemes ranking. Finally, the case of emergency group decision making tests the validity and rationality of the proposed method. Show more
