Abstract: The task of the standard Mamdani fuzzy logic controller is to find a crisp control action from the fuzzy rule-base and from a set of crisp inputs. In this paper we modify this controller in order to work with Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets and to activate a set of rules having the same conclusion. Usually, the inference rules used in a fuzzy logic controller are given by a domain expert; in our system, these rules are automatically induced as fuzzy association rules starting from a training set. Abstract: Atanassov [Intuitionistic fuzzy set, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 20 (1986), 87–96] introduced intuitionistic fuzzy set (A-IFS), whose basic elements are intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). The IFN is an ordered pair, which is described by a membership degree, a non-membership degree and a hesitancy degree. The weights of all the existing exponential operational laws and the corresponding aggregation methods for IFNs are non-negative real numbers in unit interval. As a supplement, a new exponential operational law about IFNs is defined, in which the bases are positive real numbers and the exponents are IFNs. Abstract: Dealing with uncertainty is a difficult task and different tools have been proposed in the literature to handle it. Hesitant fuzzy sets are highly useful in resolving situations where people hesitate when providing their preferences. Abstract: Based on cosine function and the information carried by the membership degrees, nonmembership degree and hesitancy degree in intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), this paper proposes two new cosine similarity measures and weighted cosine similarity measures between IFSs. Then, we give the comparative analysis of various trigonometric similarity measures by several numerical examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed cosine similarity measures of IFSs. Abstract: Nowadays, the quickest developing rate among all kinds of renewable energy generation belongs to wind power industry. Hence, proposing an optimization framework to achieve the best design of wind power conversion system, especially wind electrical generator is required more than ever. Recently, flux switching permanent magnet (FSPM) generators that are well known for rigid structure, high torque density and lower weight have attracted high attention where these features bring more ability respect to permanent magnet synchronous (PMS) generator. In this paper a thorough analysis is carried out to find an optimal design of FSPM generator by interrogating the possibility to …employ different structures for small scale wind conversion systems. To achieve this purpose, a precise challenge is laid down in investigation of various design characteristics. Hence, a multi-objective function depending on mass, cost, volume and electromagnetic performance of the generator is taken into account. In the sequel, considering multi attribute decision making (MADM) techniques, a framework based on an improved analytical hierarchy process (AHP) composed by a hybrid scheme formed by artificial neural network (ANN) and classical AHP is proposed to achieve trade-off design of the FSPM. A numerical study has been implemented on different test cases to assess the performance of the proposed framework. Abstract: Group decision making (GDM) problems consist of finding the most acceptable solution based on a group of experts’ preferences. Sometimes, the experts experience difficulty expressing their preferences using crisp values or making comparisons between each pair of alternatives. Meanwhile, because of their different backgrounds or knowledge concerning a specific problem, the opinions of different experts may carry different weights along the decision process. Thus, a new consensus model is proposed to solve these problems. First, experts are required to express their opinions using fuzzy linguistic preference relations, and then, a new method is proposed for classifying the experts into three …different importance levels according to these opinions. Then, consistency measures and proximity measures are used to guide the decision-making process. A new feedback mechanism that generates advice for experts according to their different levels is proposed. The importance degrees of experts are taken into consideration throughout the process, which is one of the main novelties of this model. Abstract: With the widespread acceptance of RDF (Resource Description Framework) as the de-facto standard recommended by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) for the representation and exchange of information on the Web, a huge amount of RDF data is being proliferated and becoming available. Efficient querying of RDF data is therefore of increasing importance. Preference queries and fuzzy queries are required for personalized queries, and have been extensively investigated in the context of databases. Focusing on SPARQL (Simple Protocol and RDF Query Language), we propose a fuzzy extension of SPARQL with preferences in this paper. First, we extend SPARQL with fuzzy sets …by allowing the occurrence of fuzzy terms, fuzzy operators and fuzzy relations. Second, we introduce multi-dimensional preferences into the fuzzy SPARQL. Based on fuzzy set theory, we also propose a set of translation rules to convert the fuzzy SPARQL with preferences into crisp SPARQL. Finally we propose an effective scoring function to calculate the order of query results, which integrates the preferences and membership degrees. Abstract: In this paper, we study the problem of coalition formation for task allocation in agent networks, in particular, we consider the situation where the profits of tasks are elapsed with time. A novel distributed algorithm is proposed, by designing a “quit-to-choose” mechanism, agents can make decisions with more rationality, so that more coalitions can be formed and the overall utility of the system is improved. Our algorithm is decentralized and it only requires local information about other agents. In addition, the complexity of the proposed algorithm is analyzed to show that it is easy to be implemented. Abstract: In order to deal with the difficulty of ranking interval numbers in the multiple attribute decision making process, interval numbers are expressed in the Rectangular Coordinate System. On the basis of this, two-dimensional relations of interval numbers are analyzed. For interval numbers, their advantage degree functions of the symmetry axis and the length are deduced after an information mining process, and then the advantage degree function of interval numbers is defined. Procedures of ranking interval numbers based on degrees for multiple attribute decision making are given. Finally, the feasibility and the effectiveness of this method are verified through an example.

Abstract: Smart metering is a quite new topic that has grown in importance all over the world and it appears to be a remedy for rising prices of electricity. Forecasting electricity usage is an important task to provide intelligence to the smart gird. Accurate forecasting will enable a utility provider to plan the resources and also to take control actions to balance the electricity supply and demand. The customers will benefit from metering solutions through greater understanding of their own energy consumption and future projections, allowing them to better manage costs of their usage.
