Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems with hesitant interval-valued fuzzy information. We first introduce some operations on the hesitant interval-valued fuzzy sets. Then, we further develop some new Einstein aggregation operators based on the Choquet integral with hesitant interval-valued fuzzy information, such as the hesitant interval-valued fuzzy Einstein correlated averaging (HIVFECA) operator and hesitant interval-valued fuzzy Einstein correlated geometric (HIVFECG) operator. Then, we apply the hesitant interval-valued fuzzy Einstein correlated averaging (HIVFECA) operator and hesitant interval-valued fuzzy Einstein correlated geometric (HIVFECG) operator to deal with multiple attribute decision making under the hesitant interval-valued fuzzy …environments. Finally, an illustrative example for evaluating the quality of physical education class in universal institutions is given to verify the developed approach. Show more

Abstract: In many applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, comparing or ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs) plays an important role. In this paper, the orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are discussed. The orders of IFNs have undesired mathematical properties. By using a special function, a new order of IFNs is proposed. This new type of order has good mathematical properties on algebraic intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (A-IFNs) which is a dense collection of IFNs, and A-IFNs are adequate in most applications.

Abstract: In this paper, the concept of fuzzy quasi-β-normed spaces is introduced based on the continuous t-norm, which can be regarded as an extension of the fuzzy normed spaces and the quasi fuzzy normed spaces, respectively. Afterwards, a universal stability result in a fuzzy quasi-β-normed space under the strongest triangular norm $\top_M$ is established by employing the fixed point alternative theorem. Using this result, the fuzzy stability problem of a septic functional equation is examined.

Abstract: The adaptivity of feature extraction is a key problem in rehabilitation with brain computer interface. A multi-domain feature fusion method was proposed for EEG. The method is mainly based on Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) and common spatial subspace decomposition (CSSD) algorithm and denoted as HCSSD. Firstly, a relative distance criterion is defined to select the optimal combination of channels in consideration of the distinction of event-related desynchronization (ERD) extent induced by different motor imagery tasks. Then HHT and CSSD are applied to extract the time-frequency feature and spatial feature for optimal EEG signals respectively. Furthermore, serial feature fusion strategy is employed …to construct time-frequency-spatial feature. Finally, learning vector quantization (LVQ) neural network is designed to classify the motor imagery electrocorticography (ECoG) data in BCI Competition III. The data were recorded from the same subject and with the same mental tasks, but on two days with about one week in between. The average recognition accuracy is 92% with much less channels used. Experiment results show that HCSSD can enhance the adaptability and robustness of feature extraction, and the recognition accuracy is also improved. This is helpful for further research of portable BCI system in rehabilitation field. Show more

Abstract: In this work; we suggest a new intelligent optimization method to solve the optimal energy management issue in the renewable micro-grids (MGs). The proposed method is constructed based on the harmony search (HS) algorithm as well as a novel adaptive modification method to solve the problem effectively. The proposed modification method consists of three sub-modifications to provide the algorithm with powerful tool to escape from the local optima of the problem with fast convergence. The feasibility and satisfying performance of the proposed method is examined on a typical MG including different types of renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic, fuel-cell, …micro-turbine, wind turbine and battery as the storage device. Comparative studies demonstrate the consistent superiority of the proposed method over the other well-known algorithms in the area. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, an obstacle avoidance path-planning algorithm and a path-following controller are developed for a lunar rover in simulated 3-D lunar terrains. Firstly, traversability analysis of the lunar surface is studied based on the weighted least squares method and fuzzy computing. Secondly, a polar coordinates histogram is built around the rover to measure the traversability to enable selection of the optimal driving direction. Thirdly, a longitudinal traction coordinating controller based on sliding mode theory and a latitudinal trajectory tracking controller based on optimal theory are proposed to follow the desired path. Finally, a six-wheel lunar rover with Rocker Bogie …model is established in ADAMS software, and co-simulation between ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Abstract: This paper proposes an output-constrained DEA (OCDEA) model to evaluate the efficiency of the production system with an upperly bounded sum of outputs. Unlike existing models with a constant sum of output, the proposed OCDEA can deal with a situation where the sum of outputs is not constant. It is found that OCDEA efficiency is not less than the CCR type for each decision-making unit (DMU). A CCR-efficient DMU is also an OCDEA-efficient one. An algorithm is provided to solve the OCDEA model, which is based on non-linear programming. Finally, the OCDEA model is applied to evaluate the efficiencies of …the British Premier League. Show more

Abstract: Recently, bipolar fuzzy graph is a growing research topic as it is the generalization of fuzzy graphs. In this paper, at first we define three new operations on bipolar fuzzy graphs, viz. direct product, semi strong product and strong product. Likewise, sufficient conditions for each one of them to be complete are given. Also, it is proved that any of the products of strong bipolar fuzzy graphs are strong bipolar fuzzy graphs.

Abstract: The underactuated 2-dimensional translational oscillator with rotational actuator (2DTORA) system consisting of an rotational proof-mass and two unactuated translational carts is an extension version TORA which is a well-known benchmark for nonlinear control design. In this paper, dynamics of 2DTORA system is modeled and written in general affine form. And we apply fuzzy Lyapunov synthesis to design a state feedback controller to stabilize the system with partial information about dynamics by using only a linguistic description. The designed state feedback controller is nonlinear which can be simplified as the classic linear state feedback controller. The globally stability of the closed-loop …system is proofed according to the second Lyapunov theorem and LaSalle's stability theorem. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed controller and advantages in comparison with a previously designed linear controller for the 2DTORA system. Show more

Abstract: Picture fuzzy sets are extension of Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Picture fuzzy set based models may be adequate in situations when we face human opinions involving more answers of types: yes, abstain, no, refusal. It can be considered as a powerful tool represent an uncertain information in the process of cluster analysis. In this paper, we present a geometrical interpretation of picture fuzzy sets. We propose correlation coefficients for picture fuzzy sets which considers the degree of positive membership, degree of neutral membership, degree of negative membership and the degree of refusal membership. Effectiveness of the proposed correlation coefficient has …been established in a bidirectional approximate reasoning systems. We apply the correlation coefficient to clustering analysis under picture fuzzy environments. Advantages of proposed correlation coefficients and drawbacks of existing correlation coefficients have been discussed. Show more
