Abstract: This paper investigates one of the outranking based methods, PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation), for multi-criteria decision making, and extends it into intuitionistic fuzzy circumstance. Our enhancement of the PROMETHEE with intuitionistic fuzzy set, named IF-PROMETHEE, takes not only intuitionistic fuzzy preferences, but also intuitionistic fuzzy weights into account. Two practical examples are carried out to illustrate the applicability and efficiency of our proposed method in solving multi-criteria decision making problems. The first example concerning the evaluation of alternative energy exploitation projects shows that IF-PROMETHEE can depict more comprehensive preference information than PROMETHEE and F-PROMETHEE. The second …example further illustrates the application of IF-PROMETHEE. Show more

Abstract: This research investigates the simultaneous allocation of optimally sited and sized distributed generation (DG) units along with the capacitor banks for power loss minimization in smart automated distribution systems (ADSs). Moreover, network reconfiguration as one of the salient features of ADSs realized by remotely controlled switches (RCSs) is proposed to be incorporated in the simultaneous optimal siting and sizing process of DGs and capacitors. As the structure of the system would vary in the solution process, all of the buses are considered as the candidate bus to connect DGs and capacitors. Several scenarios have been considered for concurrent allocation of …DGs, capacitors and also reconfiguration in loss minimization problem to interrogate the performance of the proposed method. Binary genetic algorithm (BGA) is employed to simultaneously identify the optimal site and size of DGs and capacitors as well as the system structure. The proposed algorithm is effectively implemented and then validated on the well-known IEEE 33-bus standard distribution system. Assessing the different scenarios reveals that incorporating network reconfiguration in combined allocation of DG and capacitor, would result in superior power loss minimization and also affects the optimal site and size of DGs and capacitors. Abstract: L-fuzzy soft set is a generalization of fuzzy soft set. In the recent paper L-fuzzy soft sets have emerged as a new tool to characterize semirings. Concepts of L-fuzzy soft subsemirings and L-fuzzy ideals are introduced and some of their properties are studied. It is seen that L-fuzzy soft ideals have ability to characterize regular and weakly regular semirings. Finally fully idempotent semirings are characterized with the help of L-fuzzy soft ideals.

Abstract: The Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) modeling technique has shown the ability to model nonlinear system at high accuracy. The initial Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is required before ANFIS parameters' training. The generation of initial FIS requires the number of inputs, number of clusters and cluster centers to be determined. Instead of determining the above parameters by heuristic approach, the number and variable of inputs of an Electro-Hydraulic Actuator (EHA) system are determined through mathematical derivation of the system. The number of clusters for each input is determined via fuzzy gap statistic, which applies Fuzzy C-means (FCM) instead of k-means …of gap statistic in calculating the within cluster dispersion. FCM clustering also provides the center of each cluster identified. Information of the input variables and cluster numbers as well as cluster centers are used to obtain initial FIS. ANFIS hybrid training algorithm is used to train the initial FIS for parameters. The result shows that the model obtained using ANFIS approach can estimate the EHA's system response at high precision. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, it is shown that there is a complement preserving isomorphism (preserving arbitrary union and arbitrary intersection) between the lattice ($\mathcal{FS}(X,E),\sqsubseteq$) of all fuzzy soft sets on X and the I-powerset lattice (IX × E ,≤) of all fuzzy subsets of X × E. It therefore follows that fuzzy soft topologies are redundant and unnecessarily complicated in theoretical sense.

Abstract: With respect to the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems in which both the attribute weights and the expert weights take the form of real numbers, attribute values take the form of the 2-dimension linguistic information, a new decision making method is proposed. Firstly, motivated by the ideals of dependent aggregation operator (Z.S. Xu, Dependent uncertain ordered weighted aggregation operators, Information Fusion 9 (2008), 310–316), some 2-dimension linguistic dependent aggregation operators are developed, including a 2-dimension linguistic generalized dependent ordered weighted averaging (2DLGDOWA) operator and a 2-dimension linguistic generalized dependent hybrid weighted averaging (2DLGDHWA) operator which can relieve the …influence of unfair 2-dimension linguistic arguments on the aggregated results by assigning low weights to those “false” and “biased” ones. Furthermore, some desirable properties of these operators are studied, such as commutativity, idempotency, monotonicity and boundedness, and some special case are analyzed. Then based on these operators, an approach to multiple attribute group decision making with 2-dimension linguistic information is proposed. Finally, an illustrate example is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness. Show more

Abstract: We present a coincidence theorem for a pair of fuzzy mappings satisfying a Jungck type contractive condition which generalizes Heilpern's fuzzy contraction theorem. Moreover, we deduce coincidence points of a pair of multivalued mappings which is an improvement/generalization of Nadler's fixed point theorem and several of its successive generalizations. As applications, we obtain an existence theorem of solution for a class of nonlinear integral equations by utilizing completeness property of function space (C [a,b], $\mathbb{R}$).

Abstract: For the binary classification problem, twin hyper-sphere support vector machine (THSVM) is an improvement on the twin support vector machine (TSVM), it generates two hyper-spheres instead of a pair of hyper-planes. However, multi-class classification problems are always met in our real life. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the multi-classification problem, which is called twin hyper-sphere multi-classification support vector machine (THKSVM). Different from the “1-versus-rest” TSVM, THKSVM employs the “rest-versus-1” structure. Only one class of samples are restricted in the constraint, then it improves the computational speed of the classifier, especially for the case of the number …of classes being large. Moreover, THKSVM avoids the inverse operation of a matrix when solving its dual quadratic programming problems (QPPs) compared with Twin-KSVC, so it is available for the large-scale data. Experimental results on six benchmark datasets indicate that THKSVM yields the comparable prediction accuracy with other algorithms, but it costs the shortest computational time among four algorithms. Abstract: An ad-hoc network consists of hosts (mobile or static) and each node can directly communicate with its neighbours lying within the nodes transmission range. In a mobile ad hoc network the most common operation is broadcasting. Broadcasting means sending a message from one given node to all the nodes in the network. In MANET, broadcasting results in a network with redundancy, contention, collision which is often called “Broadcast Storm Problem”. There are number of broadcasting schemes that have been developed and the main objective of broadcasting scheme is to avoid the broadcast storm problem and provide better reachability with minimum …overheads. Existing probabilistic broadcast schemes have focused on pure broadcast scenarios with investigations on only a single node parameter either node density or node location, which results in their limited performance. In this paper, the probability of broadcast is determined by considering node density, node location and node remaining battery power. The proposed probabilistic broadcasting scheme takes into account three node parameters to generate the probability to rebroadcast. As the probability to rebroadcast is calculated based on the multiple node parameter, there is a need of an optimization technique. The Fuzzy Logic optimization technique has the ability to simultaneously consider multiple criteria and to model human experience in the form of simple rules. The developed Fuzzy Based probabilistic broadcasting scheme reduces redundant rebroadcasting by minimizing the number of rebroadcasting nodes. To evaluate the performance of developed algorithm it has been implemented on Qualnet with fuzzy logic embedded on it. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the 2-tuple linguistic dynamic multiple attribute decision making problems with entropy weight. In order to aggregate dynamic 2-tuple linguistic information, some new dynamic Einstein aggregation operators are proposed: the dynamic 2-tuple Einstein weighted averaging (D2TEWA) operator and dynamic 2-tuple Einstein weighted geometric (D2TEWG) operator. Furthermore, some procedures based on the D2TEWA (D2TEWG) operators and 2TWA (2TWG) operators are developed to solve the 2-tuple linguistic dynamic multiple attribute decision making problems with entropy weight. Finally, an illustrative example for evaluating the project's risk is given to verify the developed approach.
