Abstract: Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) desires a well-organized algorithm for increasing the network connectivity using Multipath routing technique. In MANET, the identification of the shortest will enlarge the battery life of the mobile nodes. The Fuzzy-Enabled Particle Swarm Optimization-based Energy Efficient Algorithm for multipath routing (FPSOEE) is used to forward the packet whenever the link failure occurs and increase the Quality of Service. In the route discovery phase of FPSOEE, the source node chooses an optimized path by forwarding the route discovery message to all its adjacent nodes. If there is any route breakdown resultant in data failure and overhead will happen. Therefore, the multipath routing in MANET is related with the node mobility. In this paper, we propose the particle swarm optimization-based energy efficient algorithm. The source node gathers all the mobile node information based on their energy efficiency. With this information, the source node calculates the communication range of the mobile nodes. Fuzzy concept is used to optimize the multipath routing performance in MANET.
