Abstract: Studies were carried out to evaluate the effects of different methylxanthines on the erythrocyte deformability (E.D.) using two techniques of filtration through polycarbonate 5 µm pore diameter. 1.Initial flow rate filtration.2.Initial pressure rate filtration induced at constant flow. Correlation assays between structure and effects of these methylxanthines on the E.D. are discussed.
