Abstract: Moving forward to the era of media and information convergence has extremely affected Thai society and youths. Therefore, learning to build media and information literacy skills has been realized as a basis of transferring knowledge bodies to youths, to be applied for media and information selection. The process of learning to build media and information literacy skills consists of thinking while reading (step of building awareness and problem realization), problem searching (step of survey for a problem mainly caused by media and information), planning for development (step of development of a learning plan on media and information literacy), and practice on building of literacy (step of practising in building media and information literacy, making conclusion and public suggestion. This article presents meanings of media and information literacy, the learning process to build media and information literacy skills, factors, and indicators of media and information literacy in order to apply the received concepts and theories with learning to build media and information literacy skills of learners.
