Abstract: The elastic response of the material and hence the internal stress behaviour can be modified and improved by an appropriate crystallographic texture optimisation. The question is: which texture should have a sample in order to assure the best elastic properties (e.g. in the sense of stored internal stresses)? The genetic algorithm method was applied to solve this problem in the present work.
