Abstract: A 24 3/7 weeks gestation infant weighing 740 grams developed intestinal perforation. A perforated Meckel's diverticulum was revealed at exploratory laparotomy. This is the first reported case of Meckel's diverticulum presenting with perforation at this gestation in the United Kingdom. In the past 25 years, there are only 8 published cases of perforated Meckel's diverticula in neonatal age group.
