Abstract: Targeting at the axial magnetic bearing, a structure of laminated six-ring redundant axial magnetic bearing, which is featured in both high redundancy and low heat, was designed in this paper. Meanwhile, the design criteria of the laminated redundant axial magnetic bearing was proposed, and the theoretical research, numerical simulation and empirical research on the redundancy and electromagnetic force of the laminated redundant axial magnetic bearing were conducted as well in this study.
