Abstract: This article focuses on the utilisation of the Case-Based Reasoning paradigm for solving problems concerned with diagnosis and decision support. After a brief overview, the pros and cons of CBR for diagnostic purposes will be discussed. Finally, a section on prototypical and fielded applications will demonstrate the applicability of the paradigm.
