The 9th International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology

Welcome to this Supplement Issue of the Technology and Health Care journal, which gathers the top-rated manuscripts of the 9th International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology (ICBEB 2020).

2020 will be remembered as the COVID-19 year. Beating this virus has become one of the greatest challenges in modern history. The joint effort of politicians, physicians and researchers from the whole world is allowing us to mitigate this pandemic crisis. However, huge work is still needed to beat the virus. We hope that this crisis helps to increase the investment on education and scientific research, mainly on biomedical engineering, biotechnology, medicine, and health care fields.

On the 9th edition of ICBEB, a fantastic selection of keynote speakers was featured: Prof. Yuan-Ting Zhang (China), Prof. Eddie Y. K. Ng (Singapore), Prof. Carlos Simmerling (USA), Prof. Mikael Kubista (Sweden), and Prof. Catherine Green (UK). Additionally, attendees enjoyed more than 50 oral presentations and 26 poster presentations. It is remarkable that the conference quality increases year after year.

We would like to thank the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute & Institute of Biomedical Devices (Suzhou), Southeast University, for hosting ICBEB 2020, and the Editorial Board of Technology and Health Care journal for their support to the aforementioned conference.
