Abstract: Funded by the EU, the German city networks DUVA and Urban Audit in
cooperation with Dutch and Finnish cities, under the leadership of Freiburg
University, engaged in the TooLS-project to build up a data base for
cooperative learning focusing on the perceptions of the generation 50plus in
Europe. This paper reports on the concept and the organisational set-up and
describes the publicly available knowledge base with content data,
methodologies and instruments built up from the citizens' surveys in more than
15 cities plus data from comparative European surveys and from the Urban Audit.
It alsoinvites interested cities to join the emerging new KOSIS-Association
TooLS and to participate in the next round of comparative perception surveys on
the topic of the future of the generation 50plus.
