Abstract: This paper describes how systemic-informational approach could be applied to the analysis of international relations. It considers the interplay of two fundamental concepts: the shape of distribution of countries by their military might and the unipolarity of world structure. It concludes that the most harmonious version of the global distribution of forces is based on the power law, and demonstrates that contemporary military expenses of fifteen leading countries correspond to this regularity, which allows to assume that the existing distribution is optimal and stable.
