Abstract: In this micro-review, the "click" synthesis and functions of organo-silicon dendrimers are summarized. Hydrosilylation of polyallyl dendrimer cores using chlomethyldimethylsilane followed by substitution of chloride by azide and "click" reactions with terminal alkynes provided ferrocenyl and olefin terminated dendrimers. Coordination of the triazolyl dendrimers by metal ions followed by reduction gives access to organo-silicon dendrimer-stabilized palladium and gold nanoparticles.
