Award Announcements

We are pleased to announce that Margaret Turk, MD, has received the Gabriella Molnar Pediatric PM&R Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was originally established by the late Dr. Linda Michaud and Dr. Jacob Neufeld, our founder. Dr. Turk is Vice Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at State University of New York Upstate Medical University as well as a Visiting Adjunct Professor at Fudan University, Huashan Hospital. Topics of her publications include pediatric rehabilitation, cerebral palsy, tone management, electrodiagnosis, traumatic brain injury, stroke, medical education in PM&R, and the health of women with disabilities. Dr. Turk is Co-Editor of the

Disability and Health Journal and an Associate Editor specializing in education at the Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Additionally, David W. Pruitt, MD, received the AAPM&R Distinguished Clinician Award as a dedicated leader in the field of pediatric rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Pruitt is an incredibly committed physician and medical educator. Dr. Pruitt is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, the Medical Director for the Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit, and the Director of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
