Abstract: A term newborn male who presented with hyperglycemia and metabolic acidosis was subsequently diagnosed with neonatal diabetes mellitus. We describe his hospital and out-patient course and review the current epidemiology, pathophysiology, genetics, and treatment options for these patients.
