Abstract: With the continuous implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative of China, cross-border e-commerce is gradually becoming one of the main ways of trade. The smart operation of cross-border logistics has become an important factor affecting the quality of cross-border e-commerce transactions by its characteristics of high-efficiency, high-quality, and low-cost. As China’s first smart city in China with the theme of the aviation economy, the top priority for developing cross-border e-commerce in the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone is to construct cross-border e-commerce smart logistics. This paper expounds on the significance of applying big data technology on the construction of the intelligent logistics, analyzing its important roles not only in further promoting the cross-border e-commerce development in the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone but also during the process of the entire national economic transformation and escalation.
