Abstract: Strategic manipulation or non-cooperative behavior means decision makers will make dishonest decisions or change their opinions for their own benefits. It can be applied to multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems and help decision makers to manipulate the weights of attributes to obtain their desired rankings. Sometimes, interactions between attributes of alternatives may affect the decision results, and only parts of weights of attributes can be manipulated in the actual situation. In this paper, we apply Choquet integral into MADM to deal with the interactions between attributes. Models are firstly established to estimate the ranking ranges of alternatives by considering the interactions between attributes, and can obtain more wider ranking ranges than the exiting methods. Models are further established to manipulate the attribute weights with interactions wholly or partially to obtain decision makers’ desired rankings. The proposed method is an extension of the existing ones and can reduce to the existing ones when the interactions between attributes are not considered. In the end, the proposed method is applied to estimate the ranking ranges of universities and help them choose attribute weights strategically according to their desired rankings. A numerical simulation is also given to demonstrate the proposed method has higher possibility to manipulate the attribute weights to obtain the desired rankings.
