Abstract: As the mobile communication evolves toward next generation, the 5th G, it was required that the number of base stations should be increased and the size of the base station should be reduced. In order for the base station to be designed in small size, we need to minimize the filters in the base station. There are couple of ways to reduce the size of the filters in the base station, one of which is to change the materials for the resonators of filter from the metal to ceramic. The ceramic resonator makes it possible to reduce the size of the filter at the same time it would be difficult to get the performance as the metal resonator. In order to use ceramic resonator with the same characteristics as the metal resonator, we have to consider the sintering and the fabrication condition of ceramic resonator. This paper introduces the sintering and fabrication condition of ceramic resonator for the filter miniaturization.
