Abstract: E-Governance is the application of information and communication
technology (ICT) for delivering government services, exchange of information
and communication between government and public. Government services are made
available to the citizens in a convenient, efficient and transparent manner
through e-Governance. E-Government is a means for governments to use the most
innovative ICTs through electronic networks with more convenient access to
government information and services. The objective of this paper is to present
how public participation is significant to enhance quality government services
and need of ethical issues on e-Government practices and for formation of good
governance. The current study is review of various literatures relating to
e-government, public participation for e-governance, challenges and ethical
issues. The key benefits of e-Governance include efficiency, improved services,
better accessibility of public services, and transparency. The e-governance
requires a considerable increase in regulation and policy making abilities,
with all the expertise and opinion-shaping processes.
