Abstract: This paper puts forward a speed ratio control by changing the diameter of the Continuously Variable Transmission primary and secondary pulley with a single motor actuation system. The structural components and working principle of this actuation system are introduced. A control strategy based on Fuzzy-PID is proposed to improve the control precision of the nonlinear and solve problems such as the time lag and instability of Continuously Variable Transmission speed ratio control system. Fuzzy-PID speed ratio controller model is set up, in which parameter factors are optimized by the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm to realize the optimization of the speed ratio control system. Simulation results show that the Fuzzy-PID controller optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm can improve the control precision of system and the performance of the speed ratio tracking.
