Abstract: This paper presents the results of open-water tests and observation of the cavitation characteristics of systematic series of flow decelerating nozzles (or pumpjets). The tested nozzle shapes have been derived theoretically. The results of these theoretical calculations and of the experiments are presented in a nondimensional form in graphs. A discussion of the results is given.
