Abstract: In recent years, the integration between the two broad fields, i.e. the Wireless Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the building Structure Health Monitoring (SHM), has aroused people’s wide concern. In view of high energy consumption in SHM computation, this paper aims to optimize the algorithm for the traditional building detection system so much that a TS-DD energy conservation damage detection algorithm is wrapped up. This algorithm can save computation energy consumed by the AR-ARX in regard to redundant information analysis; concerning the problem about how the clustering model impacts the computation energy consumption, an optimal clustering algorithm is derived to pre-optimize cluster for the system; while for the fact that the huge mass of data must be transmitted in the SHM system, the cluster-based wireless SHM system is hereby developed as a subsystem independent of the damage detection to inspect intranet damage. In the end, it is proved by experimental comparison that this system is indeed optimized as required and achieved good energy efficiency.
