The Present Double Issue

This double issue of IJDS comprises four regular papers. In two of the four contributions, new scales/instruments and their reliability/validity are presented and discussed: Eyuboglu et al. (2022) present results from a study proving the reliability and validity of the parent-report Eyuboglu Sensory Reactivity Scale (ESRS) in children with ASD. Joyce and Aguado-Orea (2022) present in their two-study paper the development and evaluation of the online-tool Assessment of Language in Adults using Self-reported Skills (ALASS) which aim is to provide a rapid indication of language-related skills.

Weiss et al. (2022) present the results of a meta-analysis, reviewing the effects of family-oriented prevention in German-speaking countries. Finally, Nicoladis and Goulay (2022) present results from their study on hand preference in children’s referential gestures during storytelling. They investigated mono- (French OR English) and bilingual (French AND English) children and tested for different effects (bilingualism, language ability, age, and sex).

We very much hope that this issue reaches a wide readership. We wish all our readers and colleagues a wonderful summer.
