Abstract: In this paper, a novel solution based on Associated Hermite polynomials finite-difference time-domain (AH-FDTD) method is proposed to analyze the field-to-transmission line coupling problems. Incorporated with the AH transformation, the method is suitable for dealing with the frequency-domain parameters in transmission line (TL) equations, no convolution integral is involved with. And it is an unconditionally stable scheme, not limited by the Courant condition. Numerical results show that the proposed method is agreeable with the frequency-domain solutions.
