Abstract: This paper proposes a new magnetic-geared generator, which has a novel permanent magnet arrangement whereby the permanent magnets are embedded into the high-speed rotor and the stator slots, for direct-drive wind power generation systems. The operational principle is described and the performance is verified by using finite element analysis.
