Note: [1] This is, but for a few corrections, a printed version of an invited presentation, delivered on June 13, 1990 to the NAIC’90 (Nederlandstalige Artificial Intelligence Conferentie) on the NVKI meeting (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Kunstmatige Intelligentie) in Rolduc, Kerkrade, Limburg, The Netherlands. Due to Prof. dr. Zuse’s illness the text then has been presented by Prof. dr. R.A.J. Ord-Smith (University of Bradford, U.K.).
