Abstract: Sociocracy, an empowering management methodology from the Netherlands finding application world-wide. Self-organization and conflict resolution are hallmarks. Consent defined as the absence of reasoned objection; need to give reasoning initiates problem solving. Four simple rules govern organizational details, creating mechanism for regular self-organization, including cloning, expansion, contraction, etc. Strong vertical linkage provides powerful transition mechanism from command and control to information-based management. Incentive compensation and no absentee ownership are key elements of the method.
