Abstract: The paper introduces a directory of Schools of Librarianship and Information Sciences in Latin America. This was based on existing printed directories, and an extensive web search in January 2007. An appended directory lists 127 instituions in the region that have or are currently offering courses in the subject, of which 100 appear to be active.
