Abstract: Changes of wind load caused by climate change have a considerable impact on the safety of bridge structures. This paper collects the annual maximum wind speed in Beijing from 1951 to 2009 and establishes the relationship between the reliability and the flexural load-bearing capacity of a highway continuous girder bridge. In order to consider climate change effect more broadly, the influence of climate change on the reliability of the bridge is considered under two scenarios: the first scenario assumes that wind speed increases by 10% and 20%, respectively; the second scenario is that the annual maximum wind speeds in the next 30 years are predicted based on the actual statistical wind speed data, and the changes of the flexural reliability of the bridge under the second scenario with time are obtained. According to the obtained results, it can be seen that the reliabilities calculated based on the two scenarios are quite different, and the change of flexural reliability of the bridge is affected by the probability distribution of wind speed.
