Abstract: The survival after the diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) has been steadily improving for the past few decades. This has been due to advances in the knowledge of IBC in a number of fields, including epidemiology, molecular biology, and medical management. In this review we summarize some of the most important recent advances in these fields and suggest possible opportunities for continued improvement.
